Originally from California, “Eek” comes to the Harrisburg area by way of Baltimore. As a self-taught artist, he discovered a natural talent for tattoo artistry which he turned into a successful career beginning in 1996: his tattooing pedigree includes a sixteen-year position at The Illustrated Man. Independent study and exploration of various techniques led Erik to specialize in black and grey, oriental, American traditional, and trash polka tattoos. The desire to do what he loves while retaining artistic freedom has resulted in continual expansion of Erik’s portfolio. He continues to work in other mediums, including drawing and leatherworking, and to create a constantly evolving style of bold, brilliant tattoo art.
